Despite being non-GMO, which is a positive aspect, the inclusion of added sugars and potentially harmful additives diminishes its overall score.
The product contains calcium derived from calcium carbonate and magnesium in the form of magnesium citrate, which are commonly used to support bone health. However, the presence of xylitol, a sugar alcohol, and citric acid, often used for flavor or as a preservative, leads to the deduction of points due to our stance on added sugars. While xylitol is lower in calories compared to regular sugar and does not raise blood sugar levels significantly, it is not regarded as a clean ingredient in the context of our standards.
