What is it:

Apples are a pome fruit that originate from Kazakhstan but are grown in the largest numbers in China, the USA, and Poland. Apples are typically sliced or consumed as Apple juice. In packaged foods, apples may be included in a dehydrated form.

Rating:

Eating apples is associated with a lower risk of heart disease and lower blood pressure. Apples contain the antioxidant quercetin, which is anti-inflammatory and may help with diseases such as asthma. In addition, the fiber in apples aid in healthy digestion.
