What is it:
Distilled vinegar, commonly known as white vinegar, is a type of vinegar produced through a fermentation process that converts ethanol into acetic acid. The production involves two main steps: first, the fermentation of a distilled alcohol source, such as grain alcohol, into acetic acid by acetic acid bacteria; and second, the purification of the resulting acetic acid through distillation, which removes impurities and concentrates the acid. It is commonly used for pickling, salad dressings, and marinades.

Vinegar consumption has been associated with many health benefits in both human and animal studies, including reducing blood glucose levels, benefiting metabolic parameters of weight management, reducing blood pressure, and reducing cholesterol.
