What is it:

Ginger is a domesticated root vegetable from Southeast Asia. Ginger is often used to spice tea and on foods such as chicken, and is included as ingredient in many packaged foods to improve flavor.

Rating:

Ginger contains gingerol, which has strong anti-inflammatory effects. Ginger supplementation may help with weight loss as well as reducing blood sugar. Compounds in ginger also may help prevent neurodegenerative diseases.
