Pineapples are a tropical fruit native to South America. Pineapples are grown in South America, West Africa, and Asia. Pineapples are enjoyed in a large variety of foods, including as a common ingredient in many dishes around the world, in smoothies or juices, or dehydrated for use in packaged foods.

Rating:

Pineapples contain a digestive enzyme called bromelain, which has been studied for its various health benefits. It aids digestion by breaking down protein and may also help fight against cancer and viruses such as COVID-19. Interestingly, bromelain also may help reduce pain and swelling after dental surgery. Buying pineapples organically can help avoid exposure to pesticides.
