What is it:
Red wine vinegar is a flavorful and versatile vinegar produced through the fermentation of red wine. Made by allowing red wine to undergo a second fermentation process, bacteria convert the alcohol into acetic acid, giving the vinegar its characteristic tangy taste. It’s commonly found in salad dressings, marinades, and vinaigrettes and can also be used to enhance the flavor of sauces and pickled vegetables.
